is an educator, equity and inclusion practitioner, and consultant with
25 years of leadership experience at secondary and post-secondary levels.
He has served as Chief Program Officer for SCS Noonan Scholars, Dean
for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Harvard College, Assistant Head
at Middlesex School, and Director of the Office of Intercultural Education/Associate
Dean of Students at Bates College.
Melanie Drane, LMFT
is a Los Angeles-based psychotherapist who works as Graduate Medical
Education Wellness Clinician at USC Keck School of Medicine, providing
emotional support to medical residents and fellows. She has a private
practice and strong cross-cultural interests after two decades in Europe
and Japan. She has served as poet-in-residence and teacher at
her alma mater, Interlochen Arts Academy.
Holly
Hinderlie, Ph.D., Institute Assistant Director
is a Washington, DC-based psychologist, speaker, and equity and inclusion
consultant. Over the past two decades, Holly has worked in independent
schools as Director of Counseling at Maret School, Wellness Coordinator
at Choate Rosemary Hall, and currently as the School Psychologist at
Holton Arms School. Her interests include wellness, diversity, equity,
inclusion, and belonging, and sexual misconduct prevention. Holly also
previously served as a staff psychologist at the University of Denver.
Holly is co-owner of Hinderlie and Associates, LLC, a DEIB consulting
firm and offers individual and group psychotherapy in her private
practice.
Ellen
Porter Honnet, Ed.D., Former Director of the Institute
Coordinator of In-service Workshops
is a Cambridge-based psychologist who grew up overseas as a TCK. Her
interests include the impact of transitions, adolescent sexuality, teacher
wellness and listening skills. She trained at Harvard and Wellesley
College Counseling Centers. As a dean living amongst first year students
and in the houses, she also served as the Asst. Dean for Co-education
and the Sexual Harassment Hearing Officer at Harvard College.
Josh Relin, Psy.D.
has over 20 years of experience working as a clinical psychologist in
school-based counseling settings, including at James Baldwin Academy
(San Leandro, CA), the University of Massachusetts Amherst (Amherst,
MA), and Deerfield Academy (Deerfield, MA), where he served as Director
of Counseling from 2015–2022.
He currently works in private practice in Northampton and Amherst, MA,
where he offers psychotherapy and consulting services.
Janet
Sand, Ph.D., Faculty Emerita
is a psychologist in independent practice in Cambridge, MA. For many
years, she was a clinician and supervisor at the Harvard University Mental
Health Service. She has also worked at the Boston University and Simmons
Counseling Centers. She is interested in the increase in anxiety and
pressure in our achievement-oriented students and families and the schools
that serve them.

is a psychotherapist in private practice in Towson, MD. His areas of
interest include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and sleep hygiene.

to write, record, and release new work.
Jonathan Wilson, MSW, LCSW
is a psychotherapist in independent practice in Lakeville, CT, where he
